Farah Angsana is an Indonesian born who has traveled the world but currently resides in Zurich. She is known for her luxurious, couture style which is inspired by her jet-setter lifestyle. Her Spring 2013 collection shown at Lincoln Center during New York Fashion Week was called “The Glamazon.” She describes this woman as one who wanted to explore the world and re-invent her life in places like Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. She was inspired by a personal event that forever changed her view on life and love.
It was hard to pinpoint one color palette or theme. She went from evening gowns using satin, silk crepe and delicate crystal beading to embroidered cocktail dresses and silk organza. I personally enjoyed the shift dresses in their bold, beautiful colors like lime green and aqua blue that moved beautifully down the runway. The second half of the collection definitely gave a Brazilian vibe with bright color combinations and prints. While the first half seemed unrelated with stiff evening dresses and cocktail gowns.
