I can’t say that there’s not a woman who I know who hasn’t tried Pantene. The brand has around for ages and at some point in every womans life they’ve sampled this delicious smelling shampoo, conditioner or styling product. The brand has really evolved over the past years and now there are so many products that I can’t even keep up with them anymore!
One product line that caught my eye was the Pantene Truly Natural Haircare Line. I’ve made the switch (once again) back to my natural texture and have tried almost every product that I can find that’s made for curly-haired ladies like myself. I recently had the opportunity to try the Pantene Clarifying Shampoo, Deep Conditioner, Defining Curl Custard and Argan Oil Shine Serum for styling which is specifically designed for naturally curly hair.
The Clarifying Shampoo removes build up in one lather, and is great for anyone that uses styling products throughout the week. The shampoo smells great and leaves hair with a fresh scent. It left my hair squeaky clean; I wish it had a bit more moisturizer in it to leave my hair softer and easier to comb through.
The Deep Conditioner is said to provide up to 72 hours of moisture. It was great to use after the shampoo because it made my hair a bit more manageable to comb through after the shampoo. Again, the scent is really nice, I could not stop smelling my hair. I think that most women would love how this conditioner leaves their hair smelling. The conditioner is light-weight which is nice for everyday use.
The Pantene Defining Curls Custard is said define curls and control frizz up to 24 hours, even in humid weather. I liked using it to slick my hair back into a neat curly ponytail. I found that a little product goes a long way; just a dollop is needed to control curls. I used a dime-sized amount to slick through my hair and get a nice lightweight hold.
The Pantene Shine Serum with Argan Oil does deliver a great shine. It works nicely around the edges of your face to control the tiny fly away strands of hair. This formula helps to combat frizziness and delivers a great looking shine. I loved using this product on the ends of my hair as well as my edges. I have some split end so it helped to give my hair a healthier appearance.
Overall I loved the line; its accessible and affordably priced. The products work well and smell insanely good! I particularly enjoyed using the serum because it helped to tame the stray hairs that make my hairstyle look frizzy. The serum gave my hair a nice shine and a healthy look to it. The conditioner was another favorite of mine because its light enough to use daily and thick enough to detangle the knots that my curly hair sometimes gets.
