I may have mentioned a time or two that I have a slight obsession with makeup palettes, evidence can be found here, here and here. I don’t know whether it’s the ability to multi-task my beauty routine or sheer laziness but I just can’t seem to get enough of them.
Usually while browsing at Sephora or a department store a product will just jump out at me. It could be an amazing color, a limited edition item or just something so different that I simply must have it. Well another palette has caught my attention and it’s the Hydrating Marine Minerals Destination Eye and Cheek Palette in Beausoleil by Sue Devitt. This palette contains Hyaluronic Acid, if you’re not familiar with Hyaluronic Acid, it’s an effective moisturizer and may help prevent premature wrinkling and scarring. It’s naturally found throughout the body BUT it decreases with age. Major bummer! So you can see why I sprint towards products that contain this “fountain of youth”.
I’m a big fan of neutral colors and this combination gives me everything that I need; the colors can be blended to create highlights and contours and also be used as a blush. I’ve even read that some ladies have used this product on their lips with a little lip gloss. I can’t say that I have but hey, don’t knock it until you’ve tried it! Let’s take a look at each color:
As you can see the palette appears matte but after applying the colors you’ll notice that they have a nice sheen to them. The colors also appear sheer but don’t let that fool you, they are buildable so you can custom create your own shade. Sweet. The Hydrating Marine Minerals palette is available in five other beautiful shades in case neutrals aren’t your thing.
