Fake Bake Lip Gloss is designed to compliment a tan and leave lips smooth and moisturized. The product as described by the company: “A richly plum-colored gloss. Plum Crazy lip gloss will drive your kissing partner crazy with a subtle scent of, you guessed it, plum.”
When I received the lip gloss I really loved the all clear container that allows for your to see the product color clearly as well as the product texture. The color is a rich lilac with quite a bit of shimmer and I like that in a gloss. Let’s take a closer look:
The color looks great in the tube, it looks great on the application wand but it did not look quite the same when I applied it. After a few minutes of the product being on my hand the edges seemed to dry out a bit. The color in the tube is a rich plum/lilac but upon application the color is much more sheer on the lips. I layered the lip gloss three times but it looked too gloppy on my lips and by using just a layer or two my lips it did not look much like the color in the tube:
The Fake Bake lip gloss is also said to be plum scented but I could not detect any scent that smelled fruit like at all. I can say that I did like the clean design of the packaging and the applicator wand which is angled for easier application but the color was not what I was expecting. I personally prefer a gloss that has a much richer color, if you prefer something a bit more sheer then this may be the gloss for you.
