So last night I decided to try out a few more Dr. Miracles products that I have here at home. You see a few weeks ago I entered a twitter contest to follow Dr. Miracles and I won. Yes, it was quite shocking that I won and I am the proud owner of their new line of products and an Apple iPad. Yes aniPad was part of that contest, yes I know…pretty sweet.
Well today’s lucky product is…
Yes, it’s Dr. Miracles Self Cooling Facial Mask. This is one of the new products that I was dying to try. You see I am a big fan of facial masks because they cleanse deeply and help get rid of trapped dirt and oil. Seriously, who doesn’t love that? So I washed my face, left it wet and applied the mask.
The instructions on the box indicate that the mask should be left on for a minute to dry. A minute? Anyone who has ever used a mask knows that these products can take anywhere from 5-15 minutes to dry. So I sat and I waited (and tingled) and waited and after about 15 minutes and my mask was dry. I rinsed my face off and I immediately noticed that my face was dry (dry as in tight) and I quickly applied my Aqua Veil serum to add some moisture. The product states that it “purifies and refines your skin by absorbing the excess oil on your face.” Well it certainly removed the oil from my face but with ingredients like Vitamins C, E, Shea Butter and Soybean Protein I expected my face to be a bit softer.
Overall the product was okay. I liked the tingling sensation on my face but I don’t know that the sensation was the product working or just an ingredient that feels good. The mask did clear away the oil on my skin but I get that same “clean” feeling when using face wash. I don’t know that my skin felt or looked any different than it did prior to applying the mask. So unfortunately I would have to say that the product was mediocre at best. It’s certainly affordable but I don’t know that I will be adding it to my shopping cart anytime soon.

Well, I have to disagree with your opinion. I tried the mask last night for the first time and I loved it. First of all I only left it on for about three minutes and my skin was so soft after I rinsed it off. I was pleased with the product and used the moisturizer afterwards. I will definitely purchase some now.

I’m glad that it worked for you, I won’t be using it again.

On the instructions it says “Apply Mask. Massage mask onto face for one minute and allow to dry” It does not specify the amount of time it takes for the mask to dry but wants you to massage for one minute.
I’m liking it so far. The mask makes my face smoother. I have eczema, so I feared that it would make my skin flip out, but it hasn’t, yet. *knocks on wood*
