Happy Memorial Day Weekend! I know, I know, I should not be spending time in front of the computer on such a glorious New York City day, the weather is warm and the sun in shining. But before I make it outside to one of NYC’s amazing summer street festivals, I decided to swatch of few shades from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics.
I spent a little extra time this morning with my Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Mineral-Based Pigments which can be used as eyeshadow but also on the cheeks, lips or anywhere on the body. The first shade that I played with was Turquoise, which is your average tropical ocean blue shade; pretty but nothing that I haven’t seen before.
The next shade that I tried was the Wasabi which is a true shade of sparkly Chartreuse and applies 100% true to color right out of the container. When initially looking at both colors I was sure that Turquoise was sure to win me over but Wasabi is really a stunning pigment, sparkly green shade that is surprisingly flattering.
In the containers both colors are pretty but once swatched on skin it’s easy to see which colors work on your complexion and which colors you should pass on.
Now that I’ve had my makeup fix, back to family fun. What makeup did you experiment with this holiday weekend?
