For as long as I can remember I’ve always had acne, my teen years were the worst and although my acne did get better as I got older it never really completely disappeared.
To help keep acne at bay, I get facials almost monthly and it helps quite a bit in preventing blackheads. Well recently while getting a facial at Exhale Spa I discovered SIRCUIT® Cosmeceuticals Inc, a line that my esthetician was using. I even ended up purchasing the Molecular Mist because I loved how well it hydrated my skin, plus it smelled incredible. Well SIRCUIT® Cosmeceuticals Inc. was nice enough to send my four deluxe size samples of a few of their new SUPERCHARGED product line to try out. I’ve been using each product for 1-2 weeks and I thought that I’d share them with you.
SIRCUIT® Cosmeceuticals Savior™, $36 – This cleanser works on breaking down dead skin cells and exfoliating skin to clear out congested pores using Lactic Acid and Salicylic Acid. It’s excellent for oily, acne prone skin as it keeps the pores bacteria free preventing further breakouts. Some cleansers that contain salicylic acid can irritate skin and in my case it left some dry patches after using it for a few days so I started using the cleanser every other day which helped. The cleanser contains anti-microbial, antiseptic ingredients like Eucalyptus Essential Oil and Organic Orange Peel Oil to prevent acne and protect the skin. The cleanser is thick and can even be used as a treatment mask in addition to its regular use as a cleanser. I think I’ll keep a bottle on hand for those days when my skin is being temperamental.
SIRCUIT® Cosmeceuticals Fixzit™ spot treatment, $30 – This blemish drying treatment has 2% Salicylic Acid that helps to exfoliate skin and decongest clogged pores. I tend to break out on my chin or jaw line area, mostly because I’m always resting my face in my hand – horrible habit! But I tried Fixzit on a few blemishes there and it helped calm the redness down a bit but it took about 3-days for the blemish to completely heal. This treatment also contains a small amount of retinol which can help to restore damaged skin.
SIRCUIT® Cosmeceuticals Immaculate Mist™, $36 – The last product that I tried contains “Heavy Water” and provides hydration for troubled skin, it’s similar to the Molecular Mist but quite a bit lighter. It felt great to spritz this mist on my face especially on humid NYC mornings. If you have very oily skin then this would be the perfect product to keep it balanced. My skin, which I recently discovered, is more combination than oily and I sometimes need a more robust form of hydration for my skin and Molecular Mist is perfect for that. The Immaculate Mist was much lighter and I needed to use a moisturizer after it so I think I’ll stick with the Molecular Mist but if you’re in need of just a touch of hydration for your acne prone skin then this might be a good option for you.
Have you tried any products from SIRCUIT® Cosmeceuticals? What are you using on your face now?
