INSPIRATION: “they called their new show Reverie, and for inspiration revisited the Bowery of the nineteenth century, when it was lined with opium dens and theaters…”
FASHION – The Ruffian Fall/Winter 2013 collection had exotic prints and lots of black. From corsets and capes and leather to blouses with neckties and riding caps and tweeds, there was a clear dominatrix meets equestrian influence. Trends included exotic pantsuits, cropped pants, winter prints and sheer sleeves. Notable hardware included long “mane” zippers on garments that and ultra-long tassle statement necklaces.
HAIR – The eclectic hair look at Ruffian was styled long and free with blunt edges.
MAKEUP – The makeup look at Ruffian consisted of bold cheeks and lips highlighted with bright eyes. Lots of corals and orange shades.
What do you think of this collection? And what do you think of the makeup at Ruffian?
