Själ Kashmir Saphir Perfecting Mask ($150) is said to be a firming, restorative and pore minimizing mask. And anyone with oil skin knows that a pore firming mask is key to a smooth complexion. But what makes this mask different from other skin care masks on the market, this one is gemstone infused. As someone who practices crystal healing I was intrigued. Crystals have been used therapeutically for thousands of years and crystals are even used in technology like computers, watches and MRI machines. The reason crystals work so well is because they can amplify and transmute energy so theoretically these crystals can amplify the positive effects of the ingredients in this skin care product, fascinating.
Each Själ product utilizes gemstones and minerals, this mask contains: silver for anti-microbial, anti-bacterial properties, gold and platinum for tissue and cellular regeneration. Blue sapphire for clearing. Blue Copper for lifting, Bio-nutrient minerals for pore minimization. This mask also contains silk proteins, ginger root and tamanu oil to sooth, calm and oxygenate skin.
This pearlescent blue-green mask has a gel-like consistency and upon application appears clear on the face. So no scary mud mask face to scare the significant other or kiddies with! The mask has a similar application to other masks, avoiding the eye area and leaving on for about 15 minutes. This mask felt tingly but not irritating but definitely a noticeable feeling for the duration of the treatment. With this mask there is no dry, tightening feeling where you can barely talk. When it dries it does not dry hard and stiff the mask is still fairly pliable. Once the time is up the mask is rinsed clean from the face leaving skin smooth and soft.
I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised by this product, my pores actually did appear smaller and this is no easy task! My skin also looked brighter which is exactly what I need to spring into my spring beauty routine! This mask delivers spa-like results at home and a dime sized amount is enough to cover the entire face (even though I used much more than needed). I simply could not stop touching my face the first time that I used this mask because it just felt sol silky smooth.
