The Monika Chiang Woman: Feminine, Strong, Sexy Edgy Rock and Roll Spirit.
Personally I felt that collection has a Rock/ Equestrian feel. The Equestrian influence can be seen in the mink equestrian hats, leather spats, a modern take on the riding jacket, and Monika Chiang’s spoke shearling boots (a fashionable take on riding boots). The Rock and Roll influence is apparent with the use of leather in leggings and skirts, studded pumps, spiked flats and sneakers, exposed zippers, serpent cuffs and earrings, and daring fur vests! The leather opera gloves in the collection gave off an extra touch of luxury. I love the use of opposing styles and materials to come up with a creative and elegant collection for the fall.
Beauty: Tarek Abbas for Lancôme went for a natural, flawless look using Nude lip gloss and slight definition on the eye.
Hair: Jon Reyman for Aveda created an easy feminine style for Monika Chiang Show. This look expressed a “Day After” texture for the show.
