Fragrance is one of my favorite pleasures in life, it’s so intimate and yet revealing at the same time. Fragrance can really set the mood, whether you want to be playful, sexy, romantic or sweet. That’s why I like to keep my counter stocked with at least ten different fragrances at any time, I like to have a lot of options. While I have my favorites, I never ever wear the same scent every day. So as you can imagine, receiving a gift of perfume at Christmas is always a welcome surprise to me.
This year a family member of mine, gave me Dolce & Gabbana, light blue. And while this isn’t a new fragrance, it’s one that I’ve never owned. I took one sniff and I instantly fell in love with this scent. Here are the ingredients:
Sicilian Citron, Bluebell, Granny Smith apple, Jasmine Sambac, Bamboo, White rose, Cedar wood, Amber, Musk
Generally I lean toward softer scents during the day and even more so during the Spring and Summer months; for the Fall and Winter heavier, muskier scents are the one that I’m drawn to. However when I find a beautiful fragrance, all rules go out the window. Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue is admittedly on the softer side but extremely intoxicating! On days when I want a perfume that is refreshing and lively, this is what I’ll be reaching for. What are you wearing this holiday season?
Light Blue IS MY MOST FAVORITE PERFUME EVER!!!!!
I’m loving it too, it’s the first time that I’ve worn it.
In wintertime and especially around Christmas I love wearing Dior Hypnotique poison or Lancomes Tresor. In spring and summer I prefer something lighter like CK One or DNKY Be Delicious. I have never tried D&G’s Light blue, but I will try it out his spring.

Nice blog! Mmn anything with Jasmine Sambac in it is going to get my vote- and it’s quite an unusual combination with Green Apple and Bamboo. I wore “Flowerbomb” by Viktor and Rolf all through Christmas- it’s sort of sweet and sugary and comforting; like a cashmere sweater.
