Call me crazy for writing a post on prints, when once you have a look at my wardrobe, I am as plain jane as it can get when it comes to dress choices. My dress collection has a limited range, all one color, neutrals or bold, mostly red and purples. Of course this suddenly changed when I was browsing through Holt Renfrew’s catalogue (since it’s Boxing Week and I figured I may possibly have a chance at affording SOMETHING from their range. I thought wrong!) and I immediately fell in love with the collection of print dresses they offered in store. I mean, for someone who avoided prints, I practically salivated on some of the dresses they had. Think Roberto Cavalli, Etro and Mary Katkatzrou.
Why was I apprehensive in branching into prints? I usually found them too hippie-cheap. Also, I found most print dress shapeless, and dont get me wrong. I am all for it, in casual settings. But as someone who is looking more tailored refinements when it comes to clothes, prints were far from apropos. Thankfully I am mistaken and now I can finally branch out of my usual pickings with a lot more inspirations at hand
