Jewelmint for the Jewelry Obsessed!

March 20, 2012

JewelMint is Limited Edition, Original Designs by Kate Bosworth & Cher Coulter!

I’ve been looking at jewelry and came across Get Name Necklace and Jewelmint. I finally decided to finally give in and check out Jewelmint, a jewelry subscription service. The service provides “Limited Edition, Original Designs by Kate Bosworth & Cher Coulter!”. After you set up an account you create a style profile and the site provides suggestions that best match your personal style. Each piece is $29.99 and includes free shipping and the jewelry is limited edition so it changes from month to month. If you don’t want to buy any pieces during a particular month you can skip that month between the first and the fifth, on the sixth day your card is charged $29.99 which is good for one piece jewelry – but of course you have the option to order more pieces. If you choose not to buy anything after you card has been charged the credit remains on your account for future use.

I’ll be the first to admit it, I am not a huge fan of costume jewelry. I usually go for small delicate pieces, preferably white gold and diamonds or sometimes silver. But I did manage to find a two pieces that I really liked so I ordered them. My package arrived extremely quickly, in two days, and each piece of jewelry arrived in an adorable mint-colored box tied with a thin satin bow. I’m huge on presentation so I was impressed at how pretty the packaging was.

The first ring that I chose was the Borgia Ring which silver-plated piece with a turquoise center stone and a secret compartment; the ring looks antique and is kind of chunky. Very bohemian. It looks a bit more sparkly on the Jewelmint site but it was still very pretty in person.

The second ring that caught my eye was the 70s Flair Ring. This ring is also silver-plated with Turquoise and Yellow Cabochon stones. It’s very retro and funky; definitely a must-have for my weekend hippie moments. I like this ring a lot more than the Borgia Ring because it’s so large and chunky, with this piece you really don’t need any other jewelry on your hand.

Since the rings are silver-plated and not completely silver, I’m curious to see how they hold up over time. None-the-less the site offer lots of on trend options for ladies that want to add a few pretty yet inexpensive pieces to their jewelery box. I’m going to give the service a try over the next few months to see how the What are your thoughts on Jewelmint, have you ever tried this service? How about
