The smell of pumpkin always reminds of Thanksgiving and cooler weather. That time of the year always brings about pleasant memories of time spent with family, lots of laughs and of course pumpkin pie. Pumpkin is not just a fantastic food to eat but it’s also great for the skin (check out my beauty foods post here). So of course I would be thrilled to try out a skin care product that contains pumpkin.
Michael Todd True Organics Pumpkin Mask is an Enzyme-AHA Exfoliating Treatment with glycolic acid to dissolving impurities like dead skin and clogged pores. The mask is applied to a cleansed face and left on for 5-10 minutes. The first time that I tried it, I was thoroughly impressed. The mask left my skin feeling like I just had a 90-minute spa facial. My face felt incredibly smooth, soft and looked bright and clean. My large pores even appeared smaller than normal.
I wanted to mention that I have very sensitive skin so when I read that the product was not recommended for sensitive skin I was hesitant to try out. I know that glycolic acid can be very irritating in general so I worried that the mask would burn a bit but my skin was not irritated. The mask did tingle for a few minutes after application but the sensation was minimal and not bothersome at all. And once I washed my face I knew that the 10-minute treatment was well worth the wait. This mask is a fantastic product to use in between facials and I would definitely buy it again!
