I recently attended a GOLDFADEN MD press event where I learned a bit about the brand and received multiple products from their line. I’m always excited to try a skin care line that’s new to me because, you never know if there’s something better out there.  GOLDFADEN MD is focused on antioxidants and the benefits of active plant-based complexes that offer the highest level of results. Their products contain natural and organic ingredients but they are not 100% natural or organic. They ARE cruelty-free, so they get a huge star in my book!

The first product that I tried from the line was the GOLDFADEN MD Pure Start Gentle Detoxifying Facial Cleanser, $32. The cleanser is contains wheat protein for firmness and grapefruit extract to provide antioxidant protection. But the problem is that cleansers wash all the beneficial ingredients away and they don’t stay on your skin long enough to penetrate the top layers. The cleanser has a subtle botanical scent and did a decent job of cutting through my oily skin. I did find that my skin was a bit dry after cleansing.

The GOLDFADEN MD Vital Boost Even Skintone Moisturizer, $65, is a daily moisturizer for uneven skin tone. The moisturizer is where it’s at ladies, this is where the product will stay on your skin long enough to be effective, so make your moisturizer a good one. Vital Boost contains Vitamin D which destroys free radicals that can cause premature aging. It also contains hyaluronic acid which is an ingredient that you should look out for if you have fine lines or aging skin because it holds in moisture and plumps the skin. As we get older, our hyaluronic acid decreases and we start to see signs of aging, so its always a bonus when a product has this. Vital Boost moisturizer also contains high levels of Vitamin C which helps to keep skin bright and glowing.

Vital Boost is feels very rich but absorbs into the skin quickly. It has a no added fragrance, just a natural hint of the grapefruit oil. My skin felt velvety smooth and supple after application which was much needed since my skin was feeling a bit dry. I really like how this moisturizer made my face feel, it was so soft and I couldn’t stop touching it!
