This May, Glossybox turns 1 year old and the May box is a special collection with a nod to New York City. Happy Birthday Glossybox! I always enjoy the variety of samples presented in this subscription service, check out my last Glossybox review. Now let’s take a closer look inside the May box:
Nicka K New York Absolute! Perfume Stick, Dream 42 – This solid perfume is fruity, yet seductive. It’s the perfect size and formula to toss in your bag and you won’t have to worry about spillage. I started with this sample since it’s my favorite out of the entire box!
être belle Collagen & Aloe Vera Hydo Mask – At home facials are a must in my opinion, especially since not all of us to get the a spa as much as we’d like to. And hydrating masks are a favorite of mine since they keep skin looking plump and feeling soft. This être belle mask is gives skin a nice firming boost and leaves skin deeply hydrated thanks to the aloe.
European Wax Center, The Exfoliate – these handy packets contains a skin polisher without any harsh abrasives. I was pleasantly surprised at how well they worked on my hands (but they can be used on any part of the body). This skin polisher uses pineapple and papaya enzymes to gently buff away dead skin cells. Love that!
My Prime Multi-Purpose Mattifying Moisturizer – This product is a triple threat: it’s a moisturizer, primer and mattifyer all in one. This moisturizer is good option for the summer months because it’s so lightweight, it also helps to give skin a more matte finish, not 100% but it did help a bit. I liked how it left my skin super soft and applying my liquid bronzer was a breeze because it allowed me to blend it much better than on bare skin alone.
Amorepacific Color Control Cushion Compact – this foundation contains a broad-spectrum SPF (50+) to protect skin but it also contains green tea to brighten skin and prevent irritation. I love Amorepacific Rejuvenating Serum so I was pretty excited to test this out but the shade was a bit too light for my complexion. It did feel great on my skin but I wasn’t able to fully test it out on my face.
Sebastian Volupt Spray – I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not a hairspray girl. It’s not a product that I pack in my beauty arsenal but since I had a sample I decided to give it a brief try. It turns out that its a more of a spray gel, which I’ve used when I put my hair up in a ponytail. I sprayed some product on my roots throughout my hair and it didn’t leave it sticky or hard. I don’t feel that I need to add volume to my hair since it already has plenty on its own but at least I know when to go when my hair get flat!
I’d have to say that Glossybox, once again did not disappoint. I really enjoyed the variety of products included in their monthly box. Have you tried Glossybox yet?
