The braid has been seen all over the runway at Erdem, Givenchy and McQueen. And now this trend has hit the streets. Whether you’re going for a classic braid, a messy fishtail or an intricate messy braided up do you’re trend on for Summer 2011. Berdorf’s John Barrett salon in New York City will now be offering braiding services at the Braid Bar. Prices start at $45 and increase if you add a shampoo ($65) or a blowout ($120).

 

Salon spokeswoman Jenna Goldate said: “People are really excited about it. It’s just something different. Other salons will do it, but there’s no other salon that will focus specifically on the braid. It’s also a good way to bring in girls who maybe can’t afford to come get their hair cut and colored, but they can still come get a really cool new thing.”
