Not only am I a makeup junkie but I also have a HUGE love of fashion. Hey the two really do go hand in hand, wouldn’t you agree? So since I am attending a few shows for New York Fashion week aka Mercedes Benz Fashion week, I decided to write a little bit about some of the shows that I’ve attended. NYFW has the city buzzing with glamorous energy! Once the legendary white tents went up, nobody could stop talking about the upcoming shows. Well today I attended a showing for new designer Elene Cassis. Elene’s line was established in June 2009 and features classic black and white dresses designed with simple elegance in mind.
There were a few pieces that I especially loved – take a look at “The Tina” a simple double knit wool jersey dress. I love the slim body conscious fit and the short hemline. My other favorite dress was “The Ann”, a printed Crepe de Chine tunic dress that is chic and sexy.
This beautiful collection is also very versatile, many of the pieces can be work in a boardroom as well as a cocktail party. These two dresses below will give you an idea of what I mean.
For a full view of the Fall/Winter 2010 collection or to purchase a dress please visit the official Elene Cassis website. I’m anxious to see more from this new designer and eagerly await her future collections. Kudos on a great viewing!
xoxo
On a side note I would like to say RIP to the legendary Alexander McQueen, we truly lost one of the greats way too soon.
