Now that the weather has caught up with the season in New York City, it finally feels like spring. Spring is a time of transformation where everything becomes new again. So it’s a perfect time to add a few new staples to your wardrobe. I love classic items that I can wear from one season to the next. And my top 3 must have items for spring flow easily from spring into summer:

1. A new lipstick – When the season changes its time to update your beauty routine and the simplest way to do that is with a new lipstick. Spring is fresh and light and your makeup should be the same. I’m a fan of these NARS Satin Lips Pencils; they’re long-lasting with a creamy satin finish. I’m currently coveting their new shade Isola Bella which is a peach beige, so glamorous!

2. Sunglasses – Every year I treat myself to a new pair of sunglasses; I consider myself a collector. And classic aviators look great on almost every face, they’re just so universally flattering and unisex. So when I saw these Andrew Marc metal aviators, I immediately fell in love.  They’re very chic and have a woven accent on the side. Sunglasses like these are easy to pair with jeans or a dress. They are perfection!

3. A new dress – After hibernating in tights, pants and leg warmers all season it’s time to show off your legs. The weather is warmer and now you can break out those dresses that you’ve been dreaming about all winter long or you can indulge in a new dress. This green sleeveless dress is perfect for spring. This dress can be worn to the office with a blazer over it for a professional look and then you can drop the blazer after work and pull your hair up for a more glamorous look.
