The Makeup Show NY

“The Makeup show NYC marks it’s 5-year anniversary of the City’s most celebrated beauty event.”

In 2005 the Powder Group and Metropolitan Events & Production founded the Makeup Show in NYC. The Makeup show is a trade event for professionals in the makeup/beauty industry. The show is about bringing together the makeup artists and brands to celebrate their craft and educate through workshops and seminars. Some of the biggest brands and top industry professionals from every facet of the makeup industry will be on site to conduct seminars, forums and hands on workshops.

Some of the exhibitors this year will be:

  • Korres
  • MAC Cosmetics
  • Make Up For Ever
  • shu uemura
  • Smashbox
  • Temptu

During the keynote and business forum, Tegan Taylor, the department head for the film Avatar will speak about Avatar and the Digital Age of Makeup. Celebrity makeup artist Joanna Schlip who has worked with Eva Longoria, Jessica Simpson and Kim Cattrall will give a Key Note about Red Carpet Beautiful discussing Hollywood tips and tricks. These are just two of the many speakers that will present over the two days. Some of the hands on workshops include Camera Ready Makeup, Perfect Skin and Celebrity Beauty. All seminars and lectures are included in the price of admission, however the hands on workshops may be attended at an additional cost. This is a must attend event for all makeup professionals in the NYC area. There will also be demonstrations of new products and products for sales at special show prices.

This is a pro only event so proof that you are part of the makeup/beauty community is required for attendance.
