How do you tote around your favorite beauty supplies? Every gal needs a makeup bag to carry her coveted swag and why not carry your little luxuries around in style? I currently carry my day to day makeup in a Christian Dior logo bag and I’m looking to upgrade my carrying case. While browsing around online I came across some of the cutest makeup bags and I simply could not decide which ones I loved the best. Here are just a few of my favorites:

Marc by Marc Jacobs Pretty Nylon Train Case

This Marc by Marc Jacobs beauty retails for $110 (11″ wide x 6 1/2″ deep x 5″ high) and is available at Zappos. I love the bright color, this case says fun!

Tory Burch Suki Leather Cosmetic Case

This Tory Burch cosmetic case retails at $95 (7.5″W x 4″H x 2″D) and is available at Bloomingdales. If you’re a Tory Burch fan I’m sure you’ll love this classic case and emblem; it’s also available in bright green.

Betsey Johnson Eye Spy Large Cosmetic Case

This Nylon Betsey Johnson case retails at $68 (9.5″W x 6″H x 4″D) and is available at Bloomingdales.  On the front Marilyn Monroe gives you a wink and a kiss and the inside of the case features a gray and black cheetah print design.

botkier Trigger Cosmetic Bag

This gorgeous leather botkier Trigger cosmetic bag (7.5″W x 4.25″H x 7.5″W) retails at $82.50 is is available on endless.com. For all of you “Trigger” lovers out there, botkier created a mini version or the original bag, very chic. This case is also available in hot purple.

Emilie Sloan Natalie Large Cosmetic Bag

This pretty PVC protected floral case by Emilie Sloan Natalie retails for $21 (9″W x 5.75″H x 3″D) at endless.com. This waterproof case is available is six colors including Icy Blue (shown), Rasberry, Sea Glass, Kiwi, Silver Stone and Cranberry.

Sephora Yellow Poppy Bag Collection

This limited edition makeup case collection includes a pencil case (9w x 3d x 1.5h”), a zip around bag (9w x 2.5d x 5h”) and a large travel bag (12w x 3d x 8h”). The prices range from $12-$40 and are available exclusively at Sephora. I love the bright color with the poppy accent, there is a size to suit every carrying need that you may have.

These are just a small sampling of the makeup bags that I’ve come across and LOVED. There are so many choices available that it makes it hard to pick just one. What kind of makeup bag do you tote your goodies in?

Tom Ford is launching a new lipstick line called Private Blend Lip Color set to release in the US on June 1, 2010 (launching in April in Europe). The line will include 12 shades embossed with TF initials on the top of the lipstick and encased in an ivory and gold tube. Tom told WWD, “This is my take on 12 classic lip colors. I took the most universally flattering colors that a woman can wear, and then I re-imagined them in a modern and authoritative way. These are signature lip colors for the makeup connoisseur.”

The collection will be available Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, and Bergdorf Goodman for $45. I must admit that $45 is a bit steep for a lipstick, but the sheer glamour of it makes it a must have item for me. I wonder how many ladies out there would be willing to shell out that much moolah for some lipstick, would you? I often say that if I love something I don’t care how much it costs, I’m still going to buy it. So with that being said if these colors are “universally flattering” I would think that that fact alone would make the purchase worth it. I don’t know that I would buy all 12 shades but I certainly wouldn’t mind having at least one tube in my makeup case.

Avon brings us high definition makeup that will certainly upgrade your makeup routine. Avon has been a familiar brand to me since a very young age. My mother would often bring home Avon catalogs and I would always take a peak at all of the pretty products inside that colorful little booklet. Well it’s been quite some time since I’ve taken  look at Avon so I was not sure what to expect when I learned about their new High-Definition line. When I got a look at some of the products I was quite surprised, this isn’t the Avon that my mother used to buy! One of the products that I immediately fell in love with was the Glimmersticks Diamonds Eye Liner. What woman wouldn’t love a liner infused with diamond dust???

The eyeliner comes in a retractable tube so there is no need to sharpen – that’s a big plus. I also loved that the liner was creamy enough to apply smoothly without skipping or tugging on my eye like other liners that I’ve tried. It’s also long wearing so it’s perfect for a busy woman on the go that may not have enough hours in the day to touch up her liner, bravo! The product comes in 6 sparkling shades: Black Ice, Brown Sugar, Emerald Glow, Smoky Diamond, Sugar Plum and Twilight Sparkle. I sampled Sugar Plum which is a gorgeous sparkly purple shade that I loved, take a look below. Sexy right?

While browsing around Sephora I came across yet another palette that I just had to try. Too Faced Cosmetics brings us a Deluxe Palette named Fun in the Dark which comes with a light-up mirror, hence the name. I liked the idea of being able to do a quickie touch-up at a lounge without having to head to the often over crowded ladies room. So yes Too Faced, you reeled me in yet again! When I got home I tossed my purchases into my huge bag of Makeup to test at a later date, so when I finally got around to opening up the box I noticed that the light-up mirror didn’t work BOOOO! I was pretty bummed that the mirror didn’t work since this was one of the main reasons that I purchased the palette.

Take a look at the colors in the palette:

The kit contain four eyeshadows (Pin-Up, Peep Show, Full Frontal, Lucky Charms), a lip-gloss (Tropical Pink), a lipstick (Free Love), Blush (Papa Don’t Preach) and a two tone bronzer (Sun Bunny). The case has the usual Too Faced vintage images and a magnetic closure to keep the palette shut. The colors are pretty, nothing out of the ordinary in terms of shades but that can be a plus if you’re looking for everyday colors. The palette is small so it’s something that you can toss in your bag that’s neat and small. The palette retails at $32.50 so it’s pretty easy on the wallet especially if you’re a beauty junkie like me and you buy makeup like you buy breakfast.

My favorite piece of the palette is Sun Bunny bronzer, I like how it’s a mixture of a pink and gold shimmery tone which would compliment just about any complexion. My least favorite would be the Tropical Pink lip gloss which looks great in the palette but when applied it looks more like a clear gloss with flecks of glitter. The shadows apply smoothly and are highly pigmented which I like – they feel like velvet on the skin. Overall this is a great kit that is easily worth the price because all of the items purchased individually would cost much more. If you decide to purchase this kit just be sure to open it up to make sure that the lights work before purchasing. Go ahead ladies, get Too Faced!
